About Pro Border:
Let’s get one thing very clear right off the bat. This is a game that is intended more towards people that actually bowl, and less towards people who don’t understand the game of bowling. I say that because this game has gotten quite a bit of a bad wrap since it’s release, and in my opinion the negative reviews are mostly from the “non-bowlers” who have purchased this game. I’ve been in bowling leagues for the last 30 years. I’m currently 38 years old. I know a ton about the sport. I understand angles, oil conditions, how different bowling balls handle the lanes differently depending on the oil on the lane etc. With that said, I absolutely love this game! It took me a good 5 or 6 games to start throwing strikes and picking up the majority of my spares. If you’re looking for a typical bowling game where you can pick it up and start throwing 10+ strikes in a row and bowling 250+ games right away then this won’t be the game for you. This game takes patience, practice, and a general understanding of the sport. I’m saying all this because I held off purchasing this game for almost a full year just because of how many negative reviews there were on the game. I would’ve purchased it a long time ago if I knew it was actually going to be a fun game. The only negatives I have to say about this game are the menus. The menus are trash. It doesn’t keep me from playing this game though, and doesn’t keep me from giving it a respectable 4/5 stars. The only reason why I’m not giving this game a 5/5 is the fact that you cannot create your own custom bowler. Every sport gaming title I’ve played in the last 20 years allow you to make your own custom athlete.
