About Outlaster:
I’d like to start with: better than first Outlast game. I really liked and enjoyed this horror game with all the improvements it brought compared with its prequel. The graphics are great, the game is well optimized and you can enjoy the smooth gameplay that is not capped at 60 FPS anymore. The story is also great and really exciting, even though the ending is somehow sad and confusing. I personally disliked the ending of this game due someone’s death, but I’m not gonna throw spoilers left and right. The characters are really nicely designed. I love Blake and Lynn, and all the interactions between them, but the other AI characters are also greatly built. Marta is very scary and really replaces Chris Walker’s position from the first game, Val is also frightening and sometimes annoying, and the demon of Father Loutermilch… well, let’s just skip that. The school flashbacks are also very interesting and the transitions between them and the real-time events are very well made. The only drawback of the game that I really dislike is the fact that you can’t skip the cutscenes. Some of them are very long and once you start speedrunning the game in order to complete it on Insane difficulty, the cutscenes are really annoying and they’re only there to waste your time.
