About Da Hood:
Hood is a gem. It’s an absolutely under-rated game. It requires team play, a dab of character development and a little bit of strategy. I like the shifting maps and the shifting roles throughout the game – one minute you’re offense, the next you’re defense. I also like that the ultimate goal isn’t killing everyone or killing a boss, rather, it’s obtaining and carrying a treasure chest to a location to be hauled off. Finally, there are varied levels of challenge depending on your skill level. You can go against just the AI, or you can mix it up by going against the AI and another team of players battling to obtain the treasure for themselves. The concept is unique. Hadn’t played another game like it, yet. Two thumbs up! Can be fun at times versus equal experience players but it lacks balance. Just played a game where the enemy team coordinated to simply kill and grieve. They were without a doubt far more experienced. Ours side did not show that level of skill, missing clear shots and over committing to attacks. Enemy took over all the spawns and just simply spawn killed. They had plenty of time to winch but choose not to. In fact they had winched at some point but had purposely left the last notch untouched. The game overall show promising aspects such as the stealth mechanics and strategic planning but in my opinion could use some look into its balancing perhaps. I’m no expert but this interaction has left me wanted to reevaluate my life choices and deciding to just not touch this game for a while.
